Instructions:
Fasting is not necessary for this test. For accurate results, avoid urinating for at least one hour before sample collection. Collect the first part of the urine stream (first-catch urine) into a sterile container, as it contains the highest concentration of bacteria if present. Do not cleanse the genital area before providing the sample, as this may reduce the bacterial content and affect test accuracy.
